First morning at Hanalei Bay resort. This place is is awesome! Our “room” / condo is a two bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, a full kitchen, washer / dryer and two lanais. Very comfortable and clean. But feels / sounds a bit echoey with almost no art on the walls and tile floors in the living room and kitchen.

The resort has a main pool, that is very lagoon like, and several satellite pools. The hot tub, up by the main pool, is a sand-bottom hot tub! Feels amazing on the feet. And it is not to hot. You don’t feel like stew. The bar, that also serves food, just re-opened and was it packed. It is called “Happy Talk”. They have music every night and Jazz during the day on Sunday.

This resort definitely has a formula for attending to guests needs all of the employees seem to be genuinely happy to be working here. When you check in you are escorted to your parking space, your luggage / stuff are loaded into a stretch-golf-cart and you are driven to your room / condo. So if you are staying here don’t be afraid to load up on supplies in Lihue.
